Positions for software development within a joint program on biomedical image computing and machine learning, launched by BioSim and the Center for Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics (CBICA).

BioSim and the Center for Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics (CBICA) of UPenn have launched a joint project on biomedical image computing and machine learning. Positions for software development are available, mainly involving successful candidates in development tasks, associated with the Cancer Imaging Phenomics software-CaPTk currently under development at CBICA, a software package integrating image analysis and machine learning methods for cancer diagnostics and predictive modeling. The exact type of work will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and the program’s needs, and it will be somewhere in the range from pure development under the remote supervision of CaPTk’s lead developers to scientific development of specific algorithms to be integrated into CaPTk. Hourly rates will depend on the developer’s qualifications and on productivity measures. Opportunities for the developer’s spending some time in Philadelphia are available, in order to facilitate the interaction with the lead development team at UPenn.
