Improvement of CT-Based Diagnostic Ability Using Advanced Image Processing Techniques

Development of an integrated system for CT data archiving, management and diagnosis support, enabling also telematic cooperation between remote users. The system provides DICOM compatible tools for digital image processing and database management of CT images. The software features algorithms for image pre-processing, tools for manual or semi-automatic segmentation, automatic calculation of geometrical features, and three-dimensional (3D) visualization of organs or selected regions of interest.
