Monika Filitsa Xenikou obtained the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA, 2006). In 2009 obtained the M.Sc degree in Biomedical engineering (Medical School of Patras & NTUA) with excellent mark. During her M.Sc studies worked on Wavelet Analysis of EEG and Evoked Potentials in epilepsy and dyslexia. In November 2014, joined the Biomedical Simulations and Imaging (BIOSIM) Laboratory where is currently working towards her Ph.D.
Her research interests include biomedical imaging, medical image analysis.
Monika has worked on Medical Informatics (Hospital Informations System-Patient Medical Record) and as an adult trainer in the specialty of Technical Medical Instruments.
She works voluntarily in Palliative Care Unit "GALILEE" for near end patients suffering from cancer since 2011 (www.galilee.gr).
